So I dunno if this is normal for Dell when it comes to scholarship laptops, but they are taking a long time to get mine together. I remember ordering my e1705, it took about 4 days for it to get from order processing into packing. Got it delivered within a week.

Now, as part of a scholarship deal through the college I will be attending next year, I got a Dell Latitude D520, fully paid for (whoopie...its pretty much useless to me...but w/e, be thankful for what I get, lol.) and I ordered it last thursday, July 6.

The estimated ship date on this is supposed to be July 14, and it still has yet to get off of the "Order Processing" box at the Order status page.

I can guess that since they know I will be taking the laptop regardless of how late it comes, they'll take their time. But I mean, it's ridiculous that they haven't done anything with my order for 5 days.

Just wondering if this is to be expected, or if I should call Dell and ask what's going on.

Generally when it is stuck in ordering process, there is a problem with the payment option. It can never hurt to call them and see what is going on.
