So far I have come across three different XPS's 1530s and I have come away extremely disappointed at how poorly the quality control for Dell is.
XPS #1 - The hinge is completely falling apart after a replacement. Called Dell and todl them that all new XPS's come with an adhesive (they are taped/glued together) but the replacements don't have it which is why it's not stuck together. NOBODY knew what I was talkinga bout, switched five bezels, none of them stuck together.
XPS #2 - Finally sent replacement, the screen itself was 1 CM to far up, I can see the metal on the bottom of the screen. I don't even know how this is possible as all the screws shouldn't fit if the screen is out of place. This SHOCKED me.
XPS #3 - Bezel was CRUDELY glued together, the left side of the bezel has a gap showing hta tit's not stuck together well. The screen hinge (where your power button is) actually doesn't fit with the palm rest metal piece well, there's a disconnect here too.
My Dell guy tells me all these computers were built NEW and not REFURBISHED, i checked my box and they were indeed new. Sad that Dell's QC is SO poor.

especially right now when they dont seem to be too busy. I ordered mine last friday and it went to shipping yesterday which was the following wednesday. 5 days seems pretty **** fast but I hope it isn't reflected in the QC.
