being I check the Dell web site frequently, I customized my computer to the same specifications that I originally had and on Monday, I noticed the price using a coupon code I found online brought the price down to $1395.00 so I called Dell and asked if I should return my computer and repurchase it to get this new price and they offered to give me the difference back on my credit card. I have only had the computer a week and to see the price drop from $1544 to $1395 is a huge amount. But I have had problems with Dell since being their tech support likes to disconnect phone calls (funny how I never got disconnected once when speaking to the sales department or placing my order hummmmm.) and of course not knowing how to resolve issues, customer service offered me a $100 credit back to my card for the troubles I have had so now the final price for this system is $1295.00. When I called Dell's tech support last week, I asked a question why my drive is only burning CDR's at 8x and not 24x. Their response was, I have a DVD burner drive and it cannot burn CD's. I was on hold for more than 2 hours and only to be told this BS then get disconnected? If Dell continues to provide me with crappy tech support I will eventually return the computer and buy somewhere else. In my opinion it's the service after the sale that counts........

I have heard many complaints about Dell's tech support. Their after market support use to be a reason to buy from Dell, this no longer seems to be the case. Unless you are a business customer, the after market support you recieve will be no better than any other manufacturer. The trouble I'm having is finding a manufacturer that is any better than Dell. They are all treating tech support as a cash cow service that must be purchased at bottom line inflating prices.

I know things, things that could bore people to death.

Talk to an English native supervisor...you might get some compensation...and don't stop there...push it...

How would I get in touch with an English speaking supervisor? I have tried many times and all I get is trasnfered to Panama or India.
