    BACKGROUND:
I have a new Vostro 1400 Vista Business with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth Devices would not keep my Logitech Bluetooth Mouse as a Device nor automatically engage my new Logitech Bluetooth Mouse until I moved a Bluetooth start-up shortcut into the Startup Folder. Now the mouse works.

    T WO QUESTIONS:
    1. If the computer is on battery power, and I’m not using my Bluetooth mouse, does that mean that Bluetooth in the Startup Folder is keeping the Bluetooth radio on all the time my computer is running, thereby draining the battery?
    2. Allowing the possibility that Logitech may be at fault not Bluetooth, is it right that Bluetooth is supposed to be in the Startup Folder to get Bluetooth to work with a Bluetooth mouse?

I think the Bluetooth Start Up is on, but it isnt trying to catch any signals
Yes it is right to have a Bluetooth in the Startup and hopefully everyone with bluetooth has that

You may look into logitech's forum if you have problems.

It's a nightmare to make Logitech's BT mouse/Software/our system work flawlessly.

My old E1705(TM 355 on Vista) was keep losing my mouse key settings on my MX 1000 mouse, and I was never able to fix it even after spending weeks w/ horrible Logitech support. They were blaming Vistas UAC, and Widcomm stacks, and couldn't do much for me according to them.

The problem never was a problem with M90 with TM350 module though. I think the setpoint version I have installed was 4.0 beta, and works flawlessly on my M90. - Keeps all the saved keys etc for games etc as I like it.

Achilles - So with SetPoint 4.0 Beta, do you have BlueTooth in your system tray also? FYI-you have nice computers! - Jenny

Bluetooth icon should be on your system tray as long as you didn't check off the "show the bluetooth icon in notification area" box. Setpoint software shouldn't effect the bluetooth icon regardless of it's version.
