Alright so i'm going to get a e1505 but wondering which upgrade to get.
a faster processor.... like the t2500 with a 120gb 5400rpm HD
or a t2400 with a 100gb 7200 rpm Hd
Which would end up giving me a faster or better system?

The 7.2k hd will give you better performance than the faster processor.
-
My suggestions is to go with a faster hard drive.
100GB 7200RPM read speed is around 47MB/sec, which is rather good in my books.
T2400 to 2500 will give you a 10% or less increase in speed, but if your HD is slow then all that speed might be of no good to you unless you're encoding video, rendering images or performing other CPU-heavy operations. -
I would go with fastest processor and upgrade the HD later, and use the stock HD as external HD to store MP3, Pics, Movies, and anything that doesn't have to be in the system.

A very noticable one?
Where will i notice a faster hd
where would i notice the faster processor? -
i second brookie.

Just remember faster HD usually means it will run hotter then slow one. -
for web browsing, word, office, few games, maybe some engineering apps in the future like autocad.... would the HD be better?

check this thread out. and theres a harddrive dummy guide too you could look at too. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=59053
