I'm sorry in advance if this has been posted already, I did a search for DellConnect and it pulled up nothing in this forum. I'm not sure how new this program is from Dell. I've briefly read the link below and it appears to be a new service, and free as well.

I think it's funny how I was losing my mind having to do complete reinstalls of my OS because of driver problems while talking with Dell tech support (all of which changed nothing regarding the problem unfortunately). I mentioned how I wished they could just remote into the pc to see for themselves how truly crazy my pc was acting. Anyhow here is the link:

This hasn't been discussed in awhile, but dell implemented this policy some time last year i believe. I don't have any experience with them because I really don't trust their tech support. From my understanding, the techs that do the Dell Connect are the same ones that they use for techical support.

Did you get to use the Dell Connect?

Had a recent issue with earthlink and they did somehing similar. I had to agree of course. During the entire time earthlink tech had access I could see what he was doing on my desk top. Pretty neat and I would think it would be to both the user and Dell benefit.

I did not find out it existed until after I had already gone through about 6 hours of Dell tech support (online and by phone). I certainly wish I knew about it before I started my long ordeal to getting a replacement system. I did ask one tech directly if they could remote into my pc to directly see the same problem I was seeing. He didn't even acknowledge my question as if it wasn't even possible. Oh well, now I know it's there to use at least if I need it in the future.
