Alright, this is unexpected to me. I've only tested this in one single-fan system, an Inspiron, but in that case the BIOS returned an error value when I tried to query the speed of fan 2. I used that to determine that fan 2 is not present and that takes it out of the logic for consistency mode. It looks like in your system you are getting "0" for fan 2 and not an error value... so my program thinks that fan 2 is present but just never spinning up. Is it the case that your system is just showing "0" for the fan 2 RPM value all of the time? In this case I would imagine that it would just be showing "waiting for embedded controller to activate the fans" as the status all of the time.
To fix this I think that I'd need to add a checkbox to indicate that fan 2 is missing since the program cannot automatically determine this in your case. I'm looking to push an update to this app in January and I will include that. (Really busy at work right now so I don't think that I could get to it before then.)

I could use some assistance with getting this to work. I did the regedit and installed Visual C++ 2019 redistributable and .NET Framework 4.8. I keep getting a bluescreen whenever DellFanCmd tries to load Dell SMM IO whenever I run the test command provided by the OP. I'm not sure why its causing the bluescreen either. I tried installing a few different versions of Dell Power Manager but none of them will install. They just say the same thing that the system isn't supported, even the oldest one that's in the driver page for the M6800, which should be supported on Windows 7.

Hi Aaron, is there a way to run the Dell Fan Management 3.0 beta 3 application? It works very well, only if I leave a .bat that calls the .exe, it opens the window, and it does not run minimized, the idea is that it goes to the notification bar directly? -
