    If Dell offers a nice AMD notebook with 7900GS GPU (or newer chip that I'm unaware of) I may take back all the mean things I've said about them. Maybe. It'd be nice to see someone give HP some proper competition in AMD notebook designs.

    foosa123: Intel has the edge with their C2D for the moment but I expect AMD to catch up or leapfrog them when the 65nm Turion X2's ship. When you compare price points AMD looks a little better.

    Right now the Core 2 Duo destroys anything AMD has to offer for desktops, or laptops. I do look forward to the next wave of AMD procs though. I like it when there is compition; it fosters growth. :)

    It seems that both Conroe and Merom outperform AMD processors and use less power. Dell was two years late in selling AMD computers.

    Sweet, when AMD was the better chip. Dell was not in the game.

    Now that AMD is not the better chip, Dell is in the game.

    Dell matters less and less.
