    OMG! And they supposedly test these things when made ... I wonder what kind of tests they make? If it was at a conference, I wouldn't expect it to have a high-end graphics card which could be a low end Inspiron or a Latitude.

    Most likely the battery. Batteries are really the only thing in a laptop that can explode. This would have really been horrible if it had been sitting on someone's lap.

    WOW geez bad PR for Dell huh? Did this guy have it overclocked or something? Or maybe too many UBS peripherals all at once - gotta have the fan/light/mouse/card reader combo ready at all time!

    Yeah. Tell that to your nuts as it goes boom in your lap!

    I had almost decided on an e1505, but frankly, that macbook is looking better and better.

    Except for the plastic turning yellowish-brown after a few weeks of use (on the white macbook) and the tendency for it to run hot. I don't hate the Macbook, I was considering getting one instead of my E1405. But after hearing about all its issues I just decided to go with this.
