No one will be able to tell you that unless they work with Dell

I imagine the sales just plummeted with the sharp price increases, it was the only reason i was considering dell...combined with upcoming recession i imagine another deal should be on the way.

My guess is a sale around 2 or 3 hundred dollars and the release of an LED screen.

When the House and Senate finally pass their "economic stimulus" package, many families will be receiving a "rebate" about equal to the price of a new XPS. Perhaps Dell will have some deal to capture this money...?

You can call 1-800-WWW-DELL and ask for Michael Dell! Only he can help you with your order!

The last big sale on the XPS 1530 ended on the last day of Dell's fiscal year. Got mine ordered just in time. So perhaps the best time to buy is near the end of Dell's fiscal quarters. Anyone else have any insight?

Although there have been some improvements in Dell's financial performance in the 3rd quarter of 2007 it wasn't enough to satisfy the marketplace. I suspect the deep discounts at the end of the 4th quarter we're to stimulate revenue growth at the expense of margins. Looking forward to seeing their annual results. Should be out soon.

The price in the UK seems to have come down. The system I was looking at was £850 at the beginning of January, £779 at the end of January and now it is £729 (though no 10% off offer at the moment)

I actually cancelled my order for a 1530 before the sale ended. After reading about the grainy screens I did not want to take a chance. Also, the backlit LEDs are just around the corner... I'm hoping the LEDs will be worth the wait. Now if they would only add the 8800GTX option it would prevent me from repeatedly visiting the Alienware website. ;)

Got my 1530 as shown in my signature for $1,520 US, free shipping and a $70 gift card just prior to the end of their fiscal year.

Watch the price come down again by the end of April. There's a race in the marketplace for capturing growth in the laptop markets. Laptops are expected to grow 6X the rate of desktops. Dell wants to frow this faster then the opportunity.

I ordered mine February 4th, which was technically the last day you could get the sale price, paid 1510 with pretty much same specs as Phoenix123 above. Out of curiosity I built the same computer with current prices and it actually costs about 550 dollars more! I did notice some options have changed in the last couple days like screen resolutions and hard drive options.

Yeah I built about the same m1330 and my price jumped $400... Computer prices should always go down, never up.
