I just return mine last week. Got all my money back 100%. Dont use UPS. They cost more to ship. I use FedEx ground.

The invoice date is usually the day you ordered your computer instead of being 21 days from when you received your computer.

So, if they take two weeks to make it and a week to send it to me, I have "Zirrow" days left?

As far as I know that is the case, but Dell probably would make an exception and give you a few days if something happened in production/shipping. I've seen a few cases where someone ordered the pc, and it didn't even get thru pre-production for a week, so I'm sure they have to make exceptions.

I've sold some things on ebay so I have shipped quite a bit. I too have found that FedEx ground is cheaper than UPS. You can usually get pretty accurate rate quotes online.

I asked the sales representative through their "chat" feature. They said that that's the date when they ship the product.

Dell's Return Policy: You have 30 days from the invoice date to obtain an RMA number from Dell Customer Care. The invoice date is typically +/- one day from the date of shipment.

    Regards,

    Jason

It is actually 21 days for new desktops/laptops. Refurb systems have 14 days. Any other products from dell, you'll have to check the link below. I have heard if you need an extension, you can contact Dell before your 21 days is up, and request one under certain conditions. I'm not sure how valid that is though.
here is the policy and links:

I also believe that they take the date that the package is checked in at UPS, FedEx, etc, instead of when they actually receive the package.
