    Hi Guys,

My lappy is going in for an LCD replacement and I was wondering do they touch the HD when repairing the system? I just dont want to lose my stuff.

    Thanks

    They shouldn't. Can't guarantee they won't.

Make backups! Everyone needs to do this. Regardless of your situation. You should always have backups made. You never know when something could happen.

As Lithus said, the answer is probably no, but it is a possibility yes.

Last year I had a Dell tech advise me to remove the hard drive before sending to the depot. He said it wasn't absolutely necessary, but he advised it.
