The M1330 that I ordered appears to have been finished built and shipped yesterday.

I read a post here that someone was able to find out the exact components that he/she was getting (eg. Toshiba, Samsung or Chi Mei screen). I'm also curious about the HD and optical drive manufacturer as well as if I'm getting the smaller or larger power brick.

Where and how would I find out this kind of information? On the status screen, there is only information regarding the system being built and shipped.

    Thanks in advance.

Once your system has shipped you can call CS and ask for your service tag. Then you can go onto Dell's support webpage and enter it in and get your full systme configuration. It will lilst the info you are looking for.

That being said it seems it may not always be accurate. Mine was listed ass having the CMO LED screen. Eventually when I actually checked in the computer itsled device manager it turns out I have the Toshiba LED.

    Thanks.

Crap, it looks like I'm getting a Chi Mei LED screen, as well as the bulkier 90w power adapter.... F***.

Re-read my second paragraph above. You may or may not get the CMO LED screen.

I have the smaller power adaptor but I cant remember what it was listed as on the web system config.

I am aware of what you stated in your first reply, but I don't think your case occurs very often, so I'm not counting on that happening here.

As for the adapter, my system configuration specifically states that I'm getting a 90w Lite-On and something about Russia.
