Ok I ordered my Studio 15 laptop just recently (haven't got it yet, still in production) with "Buy 3 Years Next Business Onsite/In Home Service, Complete Care, Technical Support with Lojack Receive $50 OFF" and this information is in the Order Confirmation Dell e-mailed me soon after ordering.

But then when I clicked on My orders on the Dell site and then clicked on my order number, I didn't see Complete Care anywhere on the order details. Did Dell make a mistake or what because the hardware services package I ordered includes Complete Care.

So they messed it up eh? That's just great. They were trying to shill me over the phone just yesterday to upgrade to 8 GB memory, extend the plan to 4 years (when that laptop will be very outdated crap by then) and trying to shill me to switch my ISP to Bell b/c they have a 6 months free promo. And now they get the order wrong.

This is the whole point of order confirmations, to make sure nothing was messed up. It might actually be amongst those items in the order somewhere, the way they name these things is not always straight forward.

Remember, the person on the other end of the phone is only human, and all of us mere humans make mistakes sometimes. Call them as soon as you can to advise them of the discrepancy.

I can understand that mistakes happen. But I can't say I'm in a good mood after they tried to do repeatedly convince me to upgrade to 4 years warranty, 8 GB RAM and switch to a new ISP over the phone yesterday. As a long-term Dell customer (I had 2 previous desktops with no complaints), I feel insulted by having to put up with that unwelcome, pushy sales pitch.

If they did mess up the order, hopefully forwarding them the order confirmation they e-mailed me (which proves that the package I ordered included Complete Care) would straighten things up. Seeing that the order support line is only operational Monday to Friday, I sent them an e-mail but I'll call in Monday as well.
