Pictures from djrm's thread: (Look at the hinge carefully)
Comparison to Cliegal (Picture of LED from Dell site on bottom):

So.. question is.. is the M1330 with LED really this thick? If yes, then how is Dell picture (the hinge specially) thinner? If not, did Cliegal get the wrong screen delivered?
-
Apologize for the poor organization of the post. Djrm did an awesome job... need a poll though I think....
-
Im curious about these pictures. What are you point out exactly though? The hinge in the 3rd picture down looks a little thinner than the others?
-
does anyone else notice thats the same picture, just mirrored?
look at the background, the table the laptop is on, and even the reflection in the LCD, ALL THE SAME, only flipped -
They are mirrored, for comparison with Dell's picture.
-
Is there anyway to tell from the at all besides just looking at the thickness? I mean there must be a way in the Device manager or some other physical way to tell that it has an LED backlight?
-
No, this is how thick the LED screen is.
-
I saw what was purported to be an WLED screen M1330 today - the screen was as thick as Cliegal's. I had to ask the rep whether it was the CCFT or WLED it was thicker than what I had been expecting from photos we've seen.
-
A rep told me that het thickness of the laptop was
LCd 2.46 mm - 3.63 mm
LED 2.31 mm - 3.38 mm
So the difference is 15 mm wich is verry hard to notice in digital photos especially when they are not at the same scale and angle. -
cliegal reports it's a ccfl screen after all.
-
Just for the record, the screen is CCFL and cliegal is a she.
-
hey cliegal, at least you became famous, look, there 2 threads dedicated entirely to you

They say everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame and unfortunately it looks like today was mine.
Did Dell ship Cliegal a LCD Screen?
