Did I disable my fans by accident?

I have a Dell 9300. Recently, it's seemed a little warm, with the fans coming on fairly loudly when I've been watching lots of things on youtube, editing audio, etc. So, I decided I wanted to see what the temp was and how it compared to what others have posted in these forums.

So, I installed SpeedFan. I also installed MobileMeter. There was a significant temp difference between the two, with Speedfan showing a solid 10 degree C lower.

Then, to see if they were both responsive to changes in CPU, I opened several video files to get the CPU going in high gear.

The Speedfan didn't change it's readings at all. So, I assumed that it's not working.

But now, even with the CPU running at 100 percent steadily, the left fan stays off. Is that the CPU or GPU fan?
