It was not an option for some reason and I had to call support to get the Windows MCE 2005 CD. From dell Canada.

First call, they send me a Home edition CD =(

Second call, sent me the Home Edition Again! + Home edition french and XP French.

Third call, they tell me there is no such thing as a Windows MCE 2005 CD. I guess it magicly install himself on HDD.

Gave up returned the system because it was broken anyway. Order an XPS 1710 still no option to get the CD for MCE but this time everything was included in the box. Windows MCE, MediaDirect, Driver CD.

So I learned that dell dont give a @#%$ about Inspiron sale and all the love go to XPS. Even the Packaging is higher quality.

I am getting mine tommorrow, so we shall see. But I saw something on the Dell website saying that after 10/26 they were including the media.... it would be interesting to see the poll results compared to when the orders were placed

My 1505 came with both. I was wondering how could I check to see if I have MediaDirect 3.0? Purchased my notebook Nov 3, 2006.
