Hi at the moment Im choosing between the Midnight Blue and the Alpine White colours for my soon-to-be XPS M1330. I am liking the white more at the moment.

I keep seeing in different threads conflicting informaion about dells "white".

From what I understand, Pearl White was difficult to produce, and so it was replaced with "Arctic White" which is a non-glossy, pathetic looking white.

And now I see that it has further changed to "Alpine White".

What is the difference between Arctic White and Alpine white? Thanks in advance.

The white XPS m1330 that my local Best Buy got in recently is glossy white, so I assume that, if the "arctic" white was matte, the "alpine" white is the glossy one.

Cheers that is just what I needed, a personal experience.

Although the Midnight Blue is looking nice at the moment! Oh it's so hard to pick the colour haha.

The glossy white is the arctic white, while the matte white is the alpine white. Either that, or the other way round.

    Hope that was helpful ;)
