i think precisions are more expensive due to their graphics card... much more like a T60 compared with a T60P...

precision and T60P = serious work
    latitude and T60 = work

Yeah, I was considering a Precision workstation, but when I called Dell they told me the only difference is the Graphics card, but unless you are doing like CAD or something the 120M in the D820 should be fine for light gaming (only on like medium settings on most games) and it should be great for consumer video editing. so I got the D820 and with all the left over money I would have sepnt on the M65, I'm gonna buy a nice 3CCD Camcorder, and I'll still have money left over!

kingcrowing is correct, the only difference between the Latitudes and the Precisions are the video cards. The Precision M90 is a rebadged and slightly modified Inspiron 9400.

The D620 dosent have firewire, but the D820 does have Firewire, its 4-pin which is what most camcorders use (although many are using USB 2.0 now) and the Latitudes have SATA hard drives which are the newer interface for hard drives and are replacing ATA, so unless you have an older HD you would like to use thats not much of an advantage, just a difference.
