Hey I've been looking at a new laptop to get and this Inspiron 9300 is looking pretty nice; I've haven't had great experience with Dells in the past but maybe they've gotten better now. These are the specs I'm looking at:

    Inspiron 9300-
    Intel® Pentium® M Processor 730 (1.60 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB)
Display 17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen XGA+ Display
Memory 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz 2 Dimm
    Video Card 256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800
    Hard Drive 100GB Hard Drive
Network Card Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
    CD/DVD Drives 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer write capability
    Wireless Networking Card Wireless (802.11 b/g, 54Mbps)

With the coupons that's coming to around $1525. I was wondering though how big the difference is between the display of UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife™ and the regular UltraSharp™ Wide Screen XGA+ Display (the one I picked for this pachage)? I won't be doing any video editting with this comp but I will do a bit of gaming with it (hence why I' picking the Go6800), view some movies, and programming. So would a regular XGA+ display be enough for that? Also, are UXGA screens any easier to see in direct sunlight than XGA+ screens (noticed some difficulties viewing a laptop screen when I'm out in the sun)?

For those that own (or owned) this laptop, how impressed are you with it overall? Are there any flaws with the system you see now that would have made you second-think buying this system earlier?

Sorry for the noobish questions but I'd appreciate it if someone has an answer to these. Thanks.

hi.... you can check my specs down there.... so far, i love this computer... the trulife is awesome... i dont have any problems with "sparkles"... i guess i jus got lucky.. and i can play hardcore games with myh 128 ati radeon video card.. if ur gettin 256 geforce, im sure it'll blow u away... i didnt get the dvd burner.. cause i dont really like burning stuff in my laptop... so i jus went out and bought a Plextor 716A for $47.00 at bestbuy.... (regular price at $129.99, but they had a $80 rebate a month ago)... and of course i got the enclosure for that..... so thats pretty much it... go for the trulife spec... its really nice...
