Whats the difference between the 640m and the E1405?
-
Same machine but different names. 640m is sold in Small bussines.

yep, they are the same thing. 640m = e1405 = xps m140. renaming it to e1405 is a good thing. because this makes it an "inspiron" and not an "xps" and that means u can apply the awesome inspiron coupons out there =)

The changes between the previous model and the current are significant enough to differentiate, I'd say. -
