I am just wondering whats the difference between restoring using Ctrl+F11 and restoring through ghost 2003 and the dell pc restore image? What do they restore exactly other than the OS and the pre-installed applications. Also do u recommend removing the Dell PC Restore (Ctrl+F11) since I already have the image on a DVD?
BTW the Dell PC Restore does not work for no reason, I tried DSRFIX, Image Integrity Check and many other methods but it wont restore using Ctrl+F11 (I get Error "36000 A GeneralException Occurred" at 67 percent). If u suggest any fix I would really appreciate it.
thanx

Give a bit more info on the sequence of events. You saved an image of what exactly - one partition, two partitions...? Did you delete or format any partitions?

I saved the factory image that is in the Dell Restore partition, and yes I did format my main partition C:. But I have done that before and fixed it using DSRFIX but now it wont work?!

Normally when I'm saving the hard drive image, I save the whole lot - utility, windows, and restore partitions.
If you've only saved the restore 'image' to DVD, the system can only be restored using the DVD image and not by F11. -
Do u suggest deleting the restore partition since its not working?
