Whats with Direct2Dell ??? Is that a joke or something ? First of all it seems to take up to 2 days for posts to show up, if they ever do.
Secondly there is no evidence of Dell reading this or responding to it. So its more like people talking to themselves. I wonder whether Dell execs are laughing their ass off when they think about people that are so stupid to post there....

moderation is not uncommon, but I have rarely seen delays like this. At Dell even the blog is delayed.... But also that guy in charge of the Inspiron delay thread is totally incompetent and has only answered to 2 out of >800 comments, so I'm not surprised.

Still no update since yesterday early afternoon. I think Dell shut down their direct2dell forum for new posts.

There have been unforseen delays of parts at the Direct2Dell website resulting in severe lag times for new message postings. I'm sure Dell is hard at work around the clock to ensure such lag times for postings are minimized. Oh yeah, I'm sure Dell apologizes for this too.

Seems like its closed for the day now. Normally it would update around 2-3pm each day, but it seems Lionel is done with it.

Another funny thing I noticed: Lionel allowed only like 20 posts yesterday and since then the number of comments has been shrinking, i.e. they started to remove comments from the blog......

Some of us can't even post to Dell - I've tried quite a few times, and the Submit button seems to be disabled. I think that they have the general idea of how upset people are. Either way, I think that this forum is better!!

i know how everybody is upset about the situation, but i also think that dell gets the general idea about the upset people. taking ur rage on direct2dell would not solve the problems. There were a couple of good posts over there, however, most adults acted like little crying babies...imho if u already wait for say 4 weeks, and they keep delaying it, just freaking cancel it and go buy something else, but no, people actually wait longer, then try to reap dell off by asking for free coupons, etc. Just cancel and forget about it. this is just my opinion, though. I also think, if u have a job, u can afford extra $$$ on a laptop from a different manufacturer.

dude, if u were running such a large company, wouldn't u at least check some stuff online about what's going on around the company? i think, dell personally reads some posts, can't be that busy.... he just can't make a public speach, because he might anger a lot more people, and he doesn't need that. Yeah, dell fd up when they started to promote its new line of laptops; it wasn't anticipating everything that happened. on the brighter side, dell's stock wasn't really affected by all this crap, or at least not yet, since not many people heard about it...i wouldn't personally buy it though.
anyway, if u really want something, u should be able to sacrifice ur time, money, etc for it. of course, there's a limit, that's when u should cancel...imho

h yeah, the compensations are crap. I was talking to a CSR on chat, he said if I don't cancel he can give me 5% off. That's BS. It's 10% cheaper to reorder (price drops)
