    How do i delete MediaDirect from my wifes new Dell Vostro 1500.

    1. I don't need it
    2. She keeps hitting the wrong power button so MediaDiredt loads instead of XP

    I want to delete the software as well as the partition.

    Is there any real reason to keep it??

    If you get rid of Media direct and she still keeps hitting the wrong button, you're gonna get errors.

    Just tell her to push the BIGGER button.

    You can disable it in windows, but not preboot. That function is handled by the bios, which you cant modify.

    You can remove it, which i have, but you cant do nothing about her pressing the wrong button.
