    Disable speedstep in E1705?

    How do I disable speedstep in my E1705? I want to run at 2 gightz all the time. I am useing a program to acomplish this now But I would like to know how to disable speedstep in the Bios. what is it under?

    If you have updated your bios to A01, then speedstep is under peformance.

    However, it is quite useless to disable it because your laptop will just be more power hungry but there will be no change in performance as the speed step only decreases performance when it is not used.

    it would be great if you could benchmark your normal temps for CPU before you turn off speedstep. then compare temps after running at full.

    i'd like to see the temp difference and it would be helpful to other users on the board.

    if you could, that'd be great.

    (prefereably, a range of temps over time please, thanx !)
