Just got my Inspiron 17R SE... and it's the first Dell laptop I've owned that has a status LED when you turn off the touch pad. Is there possibly a way to simply have the touch pad off and not have an orange LED staring you in the face? :)

    Hello Smokezz,

My name is Anue and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.

This is to confirm, that the Touch-pad led would stay on, if the Touch-pad is disabled and there is no option of turning off the LED. This is because, the LED is an indication to let you know that the Touch-pad is off.

Kindly update for further queries, we would be more than glad you assist you.

    Regards,
