After having a bad experience with the M1330, I returned the original and replacement laptop for a full refund. I got an e-mail asking me to review the laptop on thier site. I answered the customer review and gave it two stars out of five. The review never showed up even though it was more than a month ago. I have looked at their site several times and noticed that there are no one or two star reviews. I could be completely off base, but with all the original complaints here I would have expected to see more. Something doesnt seem right...

Welcome to big businesses, GM will never say "People don't like our cars but buy them anyways cause we say they're good".

But yes, this is bad news. It's sad when businesses won't own up to their own mistakes. This also means it will take them that much longer to fix them if they always say "We make great products, there are no bad reviews because we don't want them". This could be a very bad sign that dell is headed for a nosedive by ignoring what their customers say.

Lets say you own a business and you got a bad review from a customer and you had the choice to put the review up or not. What would you do? Put it up and lose business? It's dishonest but that's business. From my experience, there is no ethics in business. If there is, your business won't be successful.

    Business is almost evil.

    That's business man.

You need to watch some mobster movies.. lol

If they owned up to issues, they'd likely get sued and everything.

Such a vicious cycle. The businesses fear lawsuits from the consumers and thus silence them. The consumers then distrust the businesses and abandon them. @.@

Exactly so you see.. We're all screwed.

So let's not screw with the circle, because then it might turn out to be a oval or some other hideous disconfigured shape I couldn't possibly name - leaving society in ruins.

    :D

...If you're buying an item from a company, why would you trust reviews on that company's own website? With the exception of newegg, it's not reasonable to expect that they won't taint reviews. Greed drives business, dudes.

    Exception of newegg??

I've written bad reviews in newegg before and they never post it. They always post my good reviews though.

Come on get real, they are never going to post bad reviews on their own site.

It's a business, they are in it to make money and they aren't going to do that if on their homepage they let anyone slag off their products.

At the end of the day it's not an open forum, it's their homepage.

<edit>and how is it dishonest? I presume there was no mention in the original request that they would post the review on their site, just that they might? </edit>

give a 5star review of the product... but post the truth in the paragraphs... it might be a script to not allow anything less then 3stars?

Companies like Amazon really do post every single review unlike what Dell does... this is good stuff since I know not to to trust reviews on Dell...
