    Disk read error

    i was playing a game and the screen went black and the laptop just rebooted and now it wont load windows it keeps saying a disk read error has accoured press ctrl alt delte to restart and i cant get it to work
    can someone help its boring in these barracks with nothing to do

    I could be tow things. Software OS problem or you have a bad hard drive.

    Have you tried booting into safe mode? How far do you get before it blue screens?

    I would try to load a diagnostic utility off the CD. I am not to sure what media dell provides but the OS disk should have some sort of repair and diagnostics.

    You will want to run a check disk.
