Hi,
I have acquired two laptops.
Dell XPS L502X - i5 2410M, 8GB, 500GB HDD, 2GB Geforce GT 540M, 1080 Screen
Vostro 3550 - i7 2620M , 4GB, 256GB SSD, Radeon 7650M, 720 Screen
I want to merge them into the the XPS so it's i7 2620M, 8GB, 256GB SSD, Geforce GT 540M, 1080 Screen.
Would it be possible for me to easily swap the processors in these laptops, has anybody has any experience with the internals of these two? I have stripped the XPS before to replace the internal power plug.
The XPS I have had for a while but all the outside shell needs replacing as it's cracked and dented, it is a big job and will mean stripping it and replacing all 4 main parts of the casing.
Does anybody have any wise words?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
You should be able to swap the processors without any compatibility issues.
Taking apart the Vostro shouldn't be any more difficult than taking apart the XPS.
I assume you know where to find the service manuals and such. -
