    Hi,

I have set up a power plan where the display brightness is set to a much lower value when on batteries. But sometimes a very weird problem is occuring- when I am unplugging the laptop, the screen brightness is not changing/ decreasing to the value "on battery".

I also am unable to use the function keys to manually decrease the screen brightness. After restarting the laptop, the brightness starts to work perfectly again.

Sometimes the brightness starts working fine after plugging in and unplugging the laptop from mains once more. That way I do not need to restart the laptop.

This is really strange problem I am facing. Anyone has any clue?

    Thanks

Are you using an Intel graphics driver that already came installed on the laptop, or from the Dell Support website?

No I don't have any Intel graphic driver installed, I only installed the GeForce driver for 555m graphics card.
