wanted to upgrade my xps 9360 with the fw upgrade to disable the adaptive brightness, it said failed and now when trying to boot, the screen is black and the front light is blinking white and orange for some seconds before the notebook turns off again.
    great.

so would there be somehow a solution?
eg. boot with external monitor and try to flash the FW again?
does it boot automatically with external mon, when attaching a usb-c display cable or how would that work?

The ones posted above were the solutions to disable adaptive brightness.
Now you don't say exactly what you did, it didn't say what firmware / bios you used and where you got it, and you didn't even say which bios / firmware version you were running before flashing the Dell XPs 9360.
Are you following a guide if so which one?

exactly, i already did the update, so i dont need links for the update, but a possible solution for my problem AFTER the update.
    it was this
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/e...e=wt64a&productcode=xps-13-9360-laptop&lwp=rt
and i just started the update exe, was waiting for 5min without any verbose output and thought that didnt do anything or was already finished, so i shut down the notebook, which was obviously wrong..
