I own two Dell notebooks - an Inspiron 1520 and a Latitude D630. Both are based on the 965M chipset and both use the Sigmatel HD audio drivers. But while music sounds perfect on the Inspiron, the same (heavy) track at same volume on the same equipment (my Sony headphones) sounds distorted around the mid-low frequencies on the Latitude, totally ruining the experience. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance. The moronic Dell support people told me - 'Latitude notebooks were designed for business applications and not for playing music, so listen to music only on the Inspiron.' They seem to be getting dumber by the day.
