I have a simple question. Do the keyboards in the Dell Inspiron line of notebooks have any "flex"?

I haven't noticed any, especially when compared to my old 600m. It seems a LOT more sturdy.

It is the best laptop keyboard I have ever used--by far my favorite part of the laptop.

Agreed, very good keyboard. Check out my reivew in my sig to see pictures of the keyboard, and to read a review on the 1520 (if that's what your planning on getting).

Hmm, does anyone here have experience with or can compare to IBM Thinkpad keyboards, Logitech Ultra-X, IBM Model-M, Northgate Omnikey Ultra, or even older Apple alps-switch Mac keyboards?

Dell's never particularly fared well on keyboard quality, and it'd be quite something for such a drastic improvement, especially on the consumer as opposed to business lineup.

I've always liked Dell keyboards, and I've heard from others that do as well. It's personal preference I suppose.

Pictures don't do it justice. Once you get a 1520 and start typing it is AMAZING. No flex at all.
