1st of all - my warranty is going to run out in one month and it's the standard 1 year warranty.
My laptop has a dead pixel that comes and goes and it's irritating.
So will Dell accept a LCD replacement for just one pixel??
2nd - do I dare send it back? My screen has that pearly look which appears at certain angles. Also, it has some backlight issues which are even.
My fear is that I will get a replacement with more backlight problems than currently and then I will be stuck with it!
I don't have a TV or a desktop computer, so I use my laptop on a daily basis, including a lot of DVD watching.
Any ideas?

I definitely say do not worry about the dead pixel. It is industry standard to have dead pixels, and I don't even think Dell would take it back for one dead pixel. For dead pixels, they are two things you can try. One is to rub the pixel very very gently until it goes away, I actually did this on an LCD one time and it worked. Another thing is there are some programs out that will flash through different colors real quick, and sometimes can fix the pixel. As for you other issue, I am not sure

But I will sell it soon. So the value would decrease dramatically!

I already redeem my windows vista upgrade kit last january 28, yet i haven't received the upgrade disc.
One reason i also bought this laptop was it has free upgrade to windows vista and it will only cost you $10 for the shipping and handling. When are they going to delivered the upgrade kit?
Do I dare send my e1505 for LCD replacement??
