Do Purolators ship during Weekends/Holidays?

So, I checked up on Purolators website and it states that it's currently "In Transit" in Vancouver, BC (I live in Surrey, BC--it's very close by) and this was updated yesterday (Aug 31)... However, I talked to a Dell rep and she said that Purolators don't deliver on Weekends (and presumably, holidays as well).

Monday is Labour Day, a holiday, and that's when my original ESD was (Sept. 3rd). I'm just wondering if any of you guys know whether or not they ship during Holidays/Weekends. I'd love to get it before my University starts on the Tuesday .

And... Yes, I did try phoning them, but it seems like their system is currently messed up as I keep on getting disconnected as soon as I get transfered into the waiting line of Customer Reps. Odd, is this happening to anyone else?

 

As far as I know, they do, I recall getting a package from Purolator on a Sunday, however it was a few years ago. However, Purolator is a part of Canada Post, and Canada post does not ship on weekends, so I'm not sure.

edit: I just called in, they said they don't ship this holiday weekend.

 

Yikes... Notebook on Tuesday, here I come .

Anyone else have had any other experiences within Canada?

In my experience, Purolator does not ship during weekends or holidays. It sucks cause after having no laptop for 1 or 2 weeks I have to go the weekend without one.

ahhh i'm in the same position you are! arrived at the vancouver depot yesterday, but won't ship until tuesday. i'm in north delta. booooooo!

 

They don't, I had to wait over the weekend for mine.

 

I believe they have Saturday shipping, but that's a special option and may not be in effect for holiday weekends. Dell doesn't offer anything other than Purolator Ground in Canada.

 

I live in vancouver and mine shipped aug 27th and got to vancouver aug 31
at the purolator depot with a EDD sept 4. Can't wait to get my 1420.

 

Mine was ship on the 1st september...my delivery date is suposed to be the 4th... I don't know if I'm really gonna get it tuesday or maybe at the end of the week cause of the holiday! really don't know

 

Check with Purolater and see where it is...That will tell you.

It gets shipped out of Nashville or Austin/Round Rock, where they're boxed up with manuals, accessories, etc.

 

Your system is built in Malaysia, flown to Nashville/Texas where the OS imaging and software inclusion is done with final testing. If it passes, its boxed and shipped and usually takes 3 days ground linehaul to hit the sortation plant in Toronto.

 

My laptop is '' in transit in US'' Purolator told me that I'm gonna receive it friday 7th or monday 10th sept... damn dell told EDD 4 th ...
