    Do modded desktop drivers lower power efficiency?

    Because these drivers are originally for desktops.. so if they're used on laptops they may not be as power efficient, right?

    Only if certain features such as PowerMizer are enabled. But I wouldn't worry too much because you're going to get better stability/performance with later drivers as opposed to the ones supplied by your manufacturer.

    I noticed my laptop went from 4.5 hours on battery (no settings changed) to 3.5 hours on battery with the modded drivers. So i would say, yes, they affect the battery. I will not be using them anymore.
