My M90 is 9 months old. Its been on prretty much 24/7

Now I can swear the right 50% of the screen is brighter than the left 50%.

Can this happen ? Do screens degrade slowly over time ? Like a battery loiing charge ?

First of all no, screens besides getting the occasional dead pixel will not degrade over time. However that being said the lamps will burn out (CCDs) and the inverters will go, but usually the notebook will be dead long before this will happen. If the inverter goes it's an easy enough piece to pop in anyways and they are pretty cheap.

I have an old Dell LCD monitor from a long time ago that seemingly failed.

When you would turn it on the screen would flash on for maybe half a second and then turn off. It would keep doing it, over and over again until you turned it off.

What sort of issue does this indicate? If it's something I can fix I'd like to know, because I could run dual monitors, which would be pretty sweet.
