Last week I was about to buy an Inspiron 1520 with a $500 coupon that I saw at techbargains (I guess there are some listed here at notebookforums too but I forgot to look) but it expired. Now I see a $400 coupon for that computer.
As I've learned more from reading here I've changed my configuration so I can't really compare the bottom line price that I had last week with what I'm seeing this week. So my question is: Do the coupons always stay about the same in savings? - It's a $400 coupon this week because the starting price is $100 lower than it was last week when they had the $500 coupon. ($1500 - $500 = $1400 - $400).
Or is it really worth waiting to see if another $500 comes out pretty soon. I'd like to buy a computer before the end of the year and can wait for some even better deals but it does seem to me that the price is pretty good with either of the $400 or $500 coupon, compared to the competition.

No they don't always stay about the same.
Sometimes they do, sometimes not.
If you phone Dell, you might be able to get an additional $100 off though.
Some people even get more than that. -
basically, they make it so you spend around 1000$, so when its 500$ off, think of it as 100$ in upgrades extra compared to a 400$ off coupon

If you can wait lookout for deals on Cyber Monday or Christmas. These should be the best deals of 2007!
Do the coupons always....
