    See the rust?

What the hell is going on.. LOL I never use the damn thing and my machine is ALWAYS at a desk and there are ZERO liquids or moisture in the room.

I think it's cause theres a mixture of steel/metal/alunimum like materials touching causing an accelerated deterioration in the material.

Regardless I never heard of this or seen this..Should I be worried?

I can see this isn't gonna help my cause with my current Dell issues.

OH.. theres spots like that on my hard drive too.. Nothing else..

...oh boy that's bad...i can just imagine what the heck is going on with your hard drive platters and the air going through the breathing hole...living near the sea or something?! i doubt that's the problem.

Maybe it's not good, but is it bad? Has it effected performance?

It must be as a result of moisture in the air. Also probably due to that particular metal.

    How old is the computer?

My 3945 did the rusty corners bit too.
It didn't have any problems in performance, i live in South Florida so Moisture is omnipresent, but i don't think thats the cause.
i think the corners are aluminum coated and this is electrically caused oxidation through electrolysis... could be totally wrong though.

The computer is 4 months old...

And this is a far from wet area.. It's actually SUPER dry...

I don't know what to make of it.. lol

Like I said I figured it's from the different type of steel/metal materials contacting each other which usually results in accelerated deterioration.. in other words rust.

I never..NEVER use the wireless so I can't tell if it works or not. Rural area at home so no wireless or high-speed connection options. And at the studio/workplace everything is wired for security reasons.

I'll take a picture of the hard drive. It's minor on the hard drive but..Still..
