Do you think Dell would give me store credit, or let me pick another model?

So I have a faulty Studio 1555. They agreed to replace it with a new equivalent or better model.. but to be honest I am sick of the design of my Studio 1555. It feels so cheap and who knows if the same problem is going to be in the STudio 1558..

As far as I know, the 1555 and 1558 share the same design, just with different internal components. You might have some luck getting them to send you a different model if you press them hard enough, but I doubt you'll be able to get "store credit" with them.

You're not alone though - my Studio 1555 (a replacement for a lemon 1537) has been acting up about as much as what the original model did, these systems have a bad thermal design and overall feel a bit cheap - I wound up cutting it as a loss and replacing it with a new computer, one that isn't from Dell.

    Good luck.
