    I am looking for a powerful, yet compact (13-15 inch)notebook. I've been considering Dell, HP and Sager after reading numerous user reviews. Seeing the new upcoming Dell E-series recently in the news, I was wondering whether it is worth waiting for its release (presumably in May/June). Any thoughts? ;)

    For me it is, but then again, I don't need a laptop in any particular amount of time, and my other laptop isn't offically sold.

    Because of nearly getting scammed on my Ferrari in December, and the "after Xmas" credit card bills coming in for people, I have had to wait until now to sell the Ferrari, so I figure that a couple of more months can't wait.

    Especially after I got burned for buying an XPS M140 and not 3 months later Core Duos were launched and the 640m blew the M140 out of the water.

    any ideas if the estimated release dates are accurate (may-june) or announcement of montevino in summer and release of the notebooks in fall? also debating since the e series look sweet.

    The notebooks will be out when, or shortly after Montevina is announced. If they wait they will get too close to Nehalem to bother with the platform.
