    Documentation inside packing box

    This sounds a little silly but, I haven't bought anything from Dell in many many years and I can't remember if they put paperwork inside the box that shows the cost of the laptop. I recently bought a Dell laptop as a Christmas gift and don't want to open the box if I don't absolutely have to (don't want them to know how much I paid).

    I tried contacting Dell's customer support about it, and they failed twice to understand and answer my simple question. Hopefully someone here who has recently purchased a Dell desktop or laptop can let me know.

    Yes, it should! When I rec'd my 1530 the shipping/invoice was included.
    It wasn't in the box though..it was contained within the plastic on the outside of the box. :D

    If not, you can always get your invoice details online! ;)

    Yeah, there was an invoice detailing the components inside, in a plastic envelope on the outside of the box. But it didn't show cost information though. I know I can get the invoice online, but I just wanted to make sure that when they open the box they don't find a piece of paper inside showing how much I paid for it that's all :p.

    I don't think they will find out the pricing! ;) Now, with accessories I have purchased. The shipping receipt was inside the box....but it included no pricing information! ;)

    My invoice arrived on a separate day, in a separate envelop. There was also the components invoice on the outside of the box, but there was no billing info inside.
