This sounds a little silly but, I haven't bought anything from Dell in many many years and I can't remember if they put paperwork inside the box that shows the cost of the laptop. I recently bought a Dell laptop as a Christmas gift and don't want to open the box if I don't absolutely have to (don't want them to know how much I paid).
I tried contacting Dell's customer support about it, and they failed twice to understand and answer my simple question. Hopefully someone here who has recently purchased a Dell desktop or laptop can let me know.

Yes, it should! When I rec'd my 1530 the shipping/invoice was included.
It wasn't in the box though..it was contained within the plastic on the outside of the box.
If not, you can always get your invoice details online!

Yeah, there was an invoice detailing the components inside, in a plastic envelope on the outside of the box. But it didn't show cost information though. I know I can get the invoice online, but I just wanted to make sure that when they open the box they don't find a piece of paper inside showing how much I paid for it that's all
.

Now, with accessories I have purchased. The shipping receipt was inside the box....but it included no pricing information!
