    Does Dell ship the Studio 15 with bloatware?

    Haven't bought a Dell since my Inspiron 640m a couple of years back. Does Dell still load their laptops with crapware that makes it a necessity to reinstall the OS, or have they gone lighter with it recently?

    They wise up somewhat - you have options now to not have some bloatware come pre-installed

    yeah, its there but not as much. but it is alway7s recommended that u do a os wipe becuase of vista. it will speed up boot time a lot. the only exception to the bloatware is the vostro. u can have it shipped with no bloatware.

    Could be worse, I've seen some laptops (Sony and to a lesser extent HP) that have so much stuff installed they take forever to load up on boot.
