    Does E1705 have a microphone?

    I ordered an E1705 at the beginning of this week, and it arrived today (wow, less than a week between ordering and the actual receiving of the laptop, Dell is ridiculously fast)

    The computer's great, but when I tried to use the default sound recorder or Audacity recording software, the sound recordings wouldn't register. Is there an integrated microphone on this thing?

    unfortunatly, there is no integrated mic installed. you have to use a ext mic via the mic output

    Hello and welcome.

    The E1705 doesnt have a bulit-in microphone. I think you must meant the microphone plug. That you will need an external microphone.
