    Does Formatting give you the old Bios you had

    when you first recieved your computer, before you updated it. Or would you have to do a rollback on that.

    Formatting a hard disk will have absolutely no effect on the system's BIOS. The BIOS is held in a rom on the motherboard. This rom is programmable, but has nothing to do with changes made to your software of drive partition or format. If you want to use a previous BIOS you will have to download that BIOS .bin file and a flash program for whatever BIOS manufacturer (AMI, Phoenix, etc) and flash it back to that BIOS. Is there a specific issue you are having that would lead you to believe that you need to flash the BIOS? It is generally not recommended to just flash your BIOS for the heck of it, its not like updating drivers or something... if you hose a BIOS flash you will have a paperweight.
