Does anyone have a M2010 here?

I am definitely getting one, maybe when a Santa Rosa one comes out or a 33% EPP coupon... or a 15-20% off Dell outlet coupon comes out... Will probably sell off my 14.1 inch Asus (and maybe eventually buy a 12.1 or smaller to play around with).

Just wanted to hear some user feedback from owners. I don't mind people questioning my buying decision... but you have to understand, as people get older, well, we stop playing games and have better things to do.

I value the fact that it is an *all in one* desktop, that is transportable. (Incomparable to a SFF PC). Saves space and has killer looks, it's graphics is powerful enough for Vista and everything else (processing speeds etc) are as good enough. The only downside for me is price...

Anyone actually *own one here have any words?

I do not, but if it does come out with Santa Rosa check the dell outlet cause I seen them as cheap as 1700.

Ever since the last 10-15% off outlet coupons... the stock of M2010s seem to have gone down by about 75%! The cheapest 2.0 C2D is like $2400 right now...

I personally don't see much of a point in buying a M2010, since you have mentioned that it is not going to be a gaming nor a portable system.

It is not the fastest notebook (in terms of both graphics and processing power), portability is definitely out of the question and the price is nowhere close to being reasonable. The only things going for it perhaps are its looks and the 20” display. Speaking of the display, the best thing would be to get a 17” notebook with a larger (20+) external display, thereby you have a large enough screen when you are on the move while having an even larger display at home(or office) where you mostly use the notebook.

There are plenty of 17” notebooks with all the features of the M2010 at a considerably lower price(especially if you don’t need a high end graphics card).

Yep, that would be something I would suggest for many people's needs, but not mine.. (though the only faster processors are in the M1710.. which I've heard the OCing is really flaky and entirely unstable)

    Priorities being:

Clean = 1 wire! (power cable) and nothing else sticking out! No extra monitors in this case needed with the built in 20, is large enough. No external keyboard speakers necessary! All you have on your desk is a 3 piece (BT wireless mouse, keyboard, and system) that puts together nicely and neatly when needs to be moved (which is almost never).

If I was a gamer and less space/style conscious, a 17 inch w/ an 8800GTX GO or X2900XT Mobility would certainly be my first choice.
