I bought my laptop about 6 months ago with a 6-cell, and it sucks bringing it to school because i only get about 2:40 minutes of use with the screen all the way down. For those of you who have 9 cells, how much time do you get on a full charge and the brightness all the way down? Also which is the best battery to go with, i see some bad reviews on the 9-cells listed on Dell's website.

Hmm...I have an Insprion 6000 with 9 cell battery. The specs are in my sig.

I get like 3.5 hours on battery. Basically, I make it through a school day easy with the battery, although I don't have classes all day (college).

To improve battery life, I keep my CPU running at a lower speed through Notebook Hardware Control. I also underclock my GPU to get more battery life. I do keep the screen brightness up all the way though. it works out real well.
