    I am sorry if this question was asked before. I tried to search but didnt get an answer.


    I was wondering if anyone knew when dell offers the best deals on their notebooks. I rescently purchased an e1505 and an e1405. They were not for me but I was able to get a 30% off coupon on them (which I think was wonderful)

    My friend told me that Dell offers up to 40% off on their Inspiron notebooks. And that they rarely offer XPS laptop coupons. Is this true? If so when are these coupons usually offered? Before Christmas?

    Dell changed their pricing strategy, so the 30% & 40% coupons are rarely offered anymore (if at all). Right now, there are some coupons but you won't get the huge savings that you previously did.

    Yes, a coupon is rarely issued for XPS series since these are considered premium laptops. The coupons are good for a week or if it reaches maximum number of users - whichever come first.

    really? got the 30% off dicount like during the summer. SO they dont give those anymore?

    AFAIK, They stopped back in August/September with the 30% off coupons and generally give out $200/300 off on certain price range.

    wow my friends and my brother lucked out... I got them the 30% off coupon... and now when it comes time for me to get one i get 200 bucks off




    I really hope an XPS coupon will show up somwhere sometime soon... Or a HP coupon of 20% or more =\

    I've seen only one XPS coupon since June, so you do have to get really lucky.
    By the way if you want an inspiron (or maybe even XPS) you could buy over the phone
    and attempt to get some discount out of the rep.

    If i do decide to get a Dell ill prob do that

    Right now im thinkinb about the XPS m1210, dv2000t, and finally the e1405


    I would only get the e1405 if i can get an amazing deal on it since it really doesnt satisfy my needs

    check the dell outlet for the computers. The reason is that I say really great deals. I was able to get a notebook for my mom a m1210 with a core 2 duo and 1 gb of ram and 7400 for around 1100. That was one of the greatest deals I got
