Dell escalation will not help about the 8800GTX SLI upgrade if that's what you are after.
You just have to wait until Dell actually starts the program, and I'm pretty sure it won't be 2k. 2k price is just to stop people like you from buying one since demand is too high right now.
Dell did this every time they had upgraded GPU on XPS systems. Regular price x 2 is just to stop you from buying one.
Just wait it out. -
I concur. Nobody at Austin is really going to be able to assist you with this at this moment. Your best bet is to wait it out. If you are still insistent on contacting them, the best way to do this would be by postal/snail mail to their corporate address. Send it to the attention of Michael Dell and send it by registered post so that you know it was recieved. Make sure that you clearly state that you expect a response to the letter.
Alternatively you can contact Lionel Menchaca from the Direct2Dell blog about your concern as well.
Note to the MODS: I am not sure if you are allowed to name specific people on these boards; if not, please edit this post and accept my apologies in advance. -
Check with another Rep no Peter Parked came up in the Directory .

Same happened to me, I first spoke with Theodore Logan though he said I could call him Ted and when he was no help he gave me to his manager Bill S. Preston.....Esq. I was frustrated and just hung while I was being transfered to his supervisor Keyser Soze.
