    I recent replaced the motherboard on my studio and asked dell t replace the gpu heatsink as well. Since I dont have thermal paste. They sent me the fan and the CPU heatsink but didn't send me the gpu heatsink. I contacted them regarding this and the rep couldn't find the part# for the gpu heatsink. Even after 10 mins,she couldn't find the part number and she ended up sending me the same parts.
    I explained to her through the dell service manual the part I wanted and she couldn't come up with the part number for it and admitted she couldn't find the part.

    Does anyone know the part number for the gpu heatsink of studio 17? Please help me out

    Last time DELL sent me some Artic Silver thermal paste in full packaging and all. Sounds like you got a tech who was recently hired. Got a CPU heatsink and new mobo just in case. Along with a new Bluray drive just in case it all depends on the type and experienc eof person you speak with. Call and get someone else.
